PKPS Signs Corporate Integrity Pledge

SHAH ALAM, 21 FEB: The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) became the third State Government agency to sign the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) with the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC).

Previously, the pledge was signed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd (KSSB).

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the integrity pledge is deemed as a positive move by PKPS to apply a good and clean corporate governance style in achieving its goals.

According to him, this altogether demonstrates that PKPS is serious and committed in efforts to eradicate corruption.

“This is an effort to determine business and administrative operations undertaken by PKPS is done well, including an effort to eradicate corruption and abuse of power,” he said during the ICP signing ceremony by PKPS and MACC here this afternoon.

Also present was the PKPS Group General Manager, Ali Ahmad and Selangor MACC Director, Jaafar Mahad.

The Corporate Integrity Pledge serves as the first step in educating all civil servants and public employees about the offence of corruption and the negative impact it has on an organisation.
