Land Matters Now Faster With Online Application System

SHAH ALAM, 28 Mar: Checking the status by the public previously took weeks but now, it can be done within one day after Selangor managed to load all land records in an online system.

Through the seven applications developed by the State Government, land services can be carried out more efficiently, easily and quickly with “customer-focused services” orientation.

Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the online system can facilitate the public in dealing with the Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTGS) to check the status or documents related to land matters.

The seven applications are:

SeLIS – a land asset inventory database for State Government use,

e-SPHS – includes print form, an official and personal search for PTG Strata Titles,

e-Pungutan – to facilitate checking and control of document currently in the collection process,

MySMS – to facilitate the public to make land tax checking based on billing account number,

e-Consent – mange transfer authorisation, mortgages and licence application,

e-Pungutan to help customers know the status of their document collections and services.

“The purpose this system is introduced is to reduce bureaucracy and to facilitate users to access information related to land through digital applications.

“The work previously that went on for weeks can be reduced to a day to enable the public to obtain information on grants or land ownership titles quickly.

“This is an effort to ensure that land administration in Selangor is done quickly and efficiently,” he said after officiating the Application System @ PTGS at the State Secretariat Building Foyer this morning.

Also present was the Director of PTGS, Datuk Kamarulzaman Jamil, State Excos, Dr Xavier Jayakumar, Rodziah Ismail and Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi.
