Port Klang Pakatan Staff Claimed to Have Been Beaten

PORT KLANG, 30 Apr: Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim condemned the actions of political thuggery committed by Umno-BN supporters during the 13th General Election (GE-13) campaigning period.

The matter was raised when an officer for the Port Klang constituency machinery was beaten while installing banners.

Abdul Khalid who is also the candidate for the Port Klang constituency said that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak as the State Director of Elections is asked to ensure that the Umno-BN machinery stops political thuggery immediately.

“Our staff, Abdullah Mokhsin was beaten by BN’s Village Development Committee member and was surrounded by supporters wearing BN shirts at Kampung Nelayan Telok Gong.

“Malaysians must unite to reject this thuggery culture. I also do not want such things to be done by my supporters. It must be done in an ethical way.

“All leaders and supporters have to practice political prudence at all times, meanwhile, the police needs to act swiftly and to enhance security,” he told reporters in a press conference after officiating the Central Spectrum Sdn Bhd Sales Gallery here.
