SHAH ALAM, 10 May: The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Government is determined to object the defeat of its candidates in the 13th General Election (GE-13).

Shah Alam Member of Parliament, Khalid Samad said that it is fair to be brought to court because the PR candidates who lost only did by a slight majority.

“We are not disturbing the formation of government, but in Selangor, we want to claim victory at Sungai Besar and Kuala Selangor.

“For the Sungai Besar Parliamentary seat, we only lost by a majority of 399 votes while in Kuala Selangor, we lost with only 460 votes,” he said in a speech at the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat Victory Thanksgiving Ceremony held here at the Independence Square.

In this regard, he asked all parties to identify the names of dubious voters in the area.

“If there is evidence of dubious voters or money paid to vote, we will take the case to court, we will challenge the results of the Election Commission,” he said.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Seputeh, Teresa Kok said that the GE-13 is describes as a ‘tsunami of young people’ and a ‘tsunami of smart people’.

She claimed that this is because the coalition managed to unite all groups, regardless of age.

“Utusan published the news ‘what do the Chinese want’? We want change. Everyone wants change.

“We won by a huge majority, not only does the Chinese community support us, but all ethnicities support us,” she said.
