SHAH ALAM, June 5: Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) needs to review the approval for the development projects in the area near Padang Jawa here, where a mini-theater will be established at the business centre here.

Shah Alam Parliamentarian, Khalid Samad claims that according to the original development plan for the business complex at Alam Avenue 2, there are no plans for the construction of the mini-theater.

He said that MBSA should retain the original condition where there are no constructions of cinemas or entertainment centres around Section 1 to Section 24 of Shah Alam, as requested by the late Tuanku Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

“I have written to DYMM the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah for this matter to be reconsidered,” he said at a conference here at his office.

He stressed that the interest of the residents in the area should be taken into account by MBSA before any decision is made for the project.

“I have sent a letter to the Mayor of Shah Alam in January but so far, there have been no response,” he said.
