Shah Alam 2 July: The State Government has spent over RM5 million to make the data storage system for the land management in Selangor more efficient.

The system has kept over 1.9 million documents in digital form to ensure that there are no longer any documents or files that are lost in the land department.

Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the system includes the Selangor Land Information System (SeLIS) and the Land Bank Library System (LBLS).

“To date we have saved a total of 1,913,924 documents in the system.

“That is equivalent to more than 17 million sheets, including digital images, that have been saved. This means that no files will be missing from storage,” explained Abdul Khalid who is also the Port Klang Assemblyman.

He was answering questions from the Batu Caves Assemblyman, Amirudin Saari.

For the SeLIS application system, a total of RM640,900 has been spent which covers the cost of training services, TOT service for technical teams, maintenance services, database development and training for each land and district office.
