KUALA LUMPUR, August 22: Today, the Sub-Editor of Suara Keadilan, Sidiqin Omar was called by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to assist in the investigation of an independent blog.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Farhan Read, Sidiqin showed up at the MCMC office in the Sultan Abdul Samad Building to give his statement on his relationship with the blogger.
“I appear as a witness whose purpose is if the blogger’s case is brought to court, then Section 114(A) will be used,” he said when met.
According to the report by Keadilan Daily, in the investigation that took almost two hours, Sidiqin gave his statement on over 20 questions.
Farhan said that the reason Sidiqin was called was only because he was in the possession of the blogger’s phone number.
