SHAH ALAM, 16 Nov: Local media, especially the mainstream media, have been urged to stop any unfounded allegations regarding the issue of the memorandum by the Selangor Backbenchers Club (BBC).

Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the issue was considered to be resolved when the State Government held a meeting with the BBC to hand over the outline of the Budget 2014.

“We have talked about this issue many times. This memorandum has already been resolved by taking into account the needs and interests of all parties.

“I ask the media to not prolong this issue if the reason is to sell newspapers from inaccurate stories,” he said when asked to comment on the issue of the memorandum from the BBC.

Abdul Khalid said that the State Government will give full attention to the development of the people and will not entertain caprice and wild allegations of some parties.

“It is all a staged drama. We have reached a higher level in terms of maturity and thinking, and will not entertain small caprice matters such as this,” he said.

Prior to this, the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) criticised the irresponsible move to distribute ‘pen letters’ using the name of the Selangor Backbenchers Club.

The Selangor PR leadership also denied signing any letter or statement expressing their anger and grievances against Abdul Khalid’s leadership.
