Royal Palace Architect Bestowed Medal Carrying ‘Datuk’ Title

KLANG, 11 Dec: The Managing Director of Kumpulan Senireka Sdn Bhd, Datuk Ar Nik Mohamed Nik Mahmood, was bestowed the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS) award in conjunction with the 68th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Nik Mohamed received the medal in a ceremony at the Balairung Seri, Shah Alam Palace, in Klang today.

He was the architect for the Darul Ehsan Palace, Putrajaya, Istana Mahkota in Kampung Jawa and Istana Mestika in Shah Alam.

Nik Mohamed is also responsible for the completion of the official residence plan for the Selangor Chief Minister and the Selangor State Government Secretary.

He was also the architect of several mosques in Selangor, such as the Masjid Istana Diraja, Istana Alam Shah, Klang and the Masjid Tengku Ampuan Jemaah, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

Mohamed who was met after the ceremony expressed his excitement and is grateful to Sultan Sharafuddin for the award.

“Thank you for giving me this award and I was pretty excited to receive it,” he said.

Also receiving the same award was the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa and Chief Executive of Sime Darby Berhad, Tan Sri Datuk Mohd Bakke Salleh.
