SHAH ALAM, 2 Feb: Criticisms or comments on any leader who is involved in politics is a common thing and should be accepted openly, said the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

He said that he has no problem in facing such situations because what is important is that the people give their full support to the ruling party to contribute to the development of the state.

“It is all open in politics and in politics, we create a respectful atmosphere.

“What is important is the people’s support because the people are the ones electing leaders who can contribute to the development and success of the state,” he said.

He said this when he attended a Friendly Session with Selangor Football Supporters at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Section 7, yesterday.

Meanwhile, Abdul Khali said that the entry of Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is to strengthen the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat.

“The purpose of Anwar’s entry is the result of the resignation of the Assemblyman.

“That is why, in such a short time, we needed to find someone to put forward to represent Selangor,” he added.
