Kriterium Cycling Competition Shah Alam to Unearth New Talent

SHAH ALAM, 28 Feb: The Kriterium Shah Alam Cycling Competition organised by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) last week was enlivened with the participation of national cyclist, Anuar Manan.

MBSA’s Deputy Corporate Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that Anwar manage to repeat his first place victory which he achieved last year in the Men’s Open.

He said that the competition this year also saw fierce competition among participants in all seven categories.

“MBSA will continue competition in the near future in efforts to increase sports and recreational activities in the city of Shah Alam.

“In addition, we also have the opportunity to unearth new talent in cycling to be highlighted at national and international levels,” he said.

Held on 22 February and located at Jalan Selatan, Persiaran Tasir, the Kriterium Cycling Competition was divided into two main categories; racing bikes and mountain bikes.

Each category was also divided into three sub-categories: Men’s Senior Veteran, Men’s Open and Women’s Open.

Among others, for the Men’s Open racing bike category, apart from Anuar Manan, second place was won by Ahmad Haidar and third place went to Epic Timothy.
