‘Friction’ Between Political Leaders in the Party Do Not Affect Kajang By-Election

SHAH ALAM, 5 Mar: Friction between politicians within a party whether it is the government or opposition, is considered ‘normal drama’ in the political arena.

However, the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, is confident that it will not affect the people’s support towards Pakatan Rakyat in winning the Kajang by-election.

“I have mentioned four times that such friction also happens in other parties.

“I remain confident that Pakatan will gain more support because friction in political drama is normal,” he said.

He said this at a weekly press conference when asked to comment on PR’s chances to defend its victory in Kajang.

Abdul Khalid is confident that the Selangor Government will gain support following the transparency in its administration since 2008, despite various issues raised by other parties, especially regarding water.

“We are more transparent than others, and in fact, the people are starting to want to know the contents of the water agreement and its importance,” he said.
