“The State Government has started to introduce the Integrity Pack concept with senior officers and this will take time because its implementation if not just a signature away.

“Changing work culture is indeed time-consuming. We cannot think that it is just enough to wear the integrity badge,” said Abdul Khalid.

Abdul Khalid said this when winding up the debate on the Supplementary Supply Bill 2014 debate at the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) today.

Abdul Khalid also gave the example of the Prophet Muhammad successfully changing the thinking of ignorant Arabs which took decades.

“Japan also took 200 years to successfully change their work culture, not a short time,” he added.

Abdul Khalid added that the implementation of the Integrity Pack will be carried out in two stages; at the State Government subsidiary company level and State Government staff.
