Abdul Khalid appreciates the support shown by PAS President, to maintain as CM

SHAH ALAM, 26 JULY: Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim thanked the PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for showing support and trust in him to continue leading the Selangor Government’s administration till the end of the term.

The support shown is meaningful because Selangor is a progressive state and it requires a stable political scenario to ensure the administration work continues smoothly, he said in a short statement on his official Facebook account.

“The exco line-up and i will make sure we stick by our 13th General Election’s slogan which is, continue to excel with implementation and action,” he said.

Abdul Khalid said so in response to Abdul Hadi’s statement that suggests he stays as Selangor Chief Minister as he has not betrayed the people’s trust in executing his duties.

Previously, Abdul Khalid said, after some observation and researched done personally by himself, with some from PAS and non party members, he found that the majority of Selangor citizens still agrees to back Abdul Khalid as Chief Minister. However, it also depends on the Selangor Sultan’s advise.

He said, it cannot be denied that the excellent track record shown by Abdul Khalid, in leading Selangor to better prospects which includes defending and winning Selangor in the previous 13th General Election. It is still great work despites some disagreement within Pakatan Rakyat.

Before, Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s Chief de-facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Pakatan Rakyat Leadership Council held a meeting on the 23rd of July, and has agreed to accept PKR’s suggestion in replacing Abdul Khalid with its party president, Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Abdul Hadi said, the reason provided by groups that suggests to replace the Chief Minister is not solid and he personally disagrees with the change as he views that Abdul Khalid has not been involved in any major scandals.
