Special Parliamentary session to criticise MH17 tragedy

SHAH ALAM, 19 July: The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, will call a special Parliamentary session to criticise the tragic Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Boeing-777 aircraft accident.

This was personally informed by the PM in a special message last night.

Najib also informed that the national flag will be at half-mast as a sign of mourning for what happened to the MH17 aircraft, starting last night until July 21.

In addition, all Malaysians have been asked to pray for the families of the victims who died according to their respective religious beliefs.

This second incident that hit MAS within four month after the disappearance of the MH370 shocked the world because the aircraft was believed to be shot down by rebel forces in Kiev.

The aircraft took off from Amsterdam at 12.15 local Amsterdam time and was scheduled to reach KLIA at 6.10 am, Malaysian time.

The MH17 aircraft celebrated its 17th anniversary after its first flight on July 17, 1997, and has been operational for 17 years.
