In addition, all Malaysians have been asked to pray for the families of the victims who died according to their respective religious beliefs.

This second incident that hit MAS within four month after the disappearance of the MH370 shocked the world because the aircraft was believed to be shot down by rebel forces in Kiev.

The aircraft took off from Amsterdam at 12.15 local Amsterdam time and was scheduled to reach KLIA at 6.10 am, Malaysian time.

The MH17 aircraft celebrated its 17th anniversary after its first flight on July 17, 1997, and has been operational for 17 years.
