HULU LANGAT, 25: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, commanded for the people to temporarily forget all political ideologies and beliefs.

He said that the people should focus their full attention to acts of worship and unite to strengthen brotherhood among each other.

With that, he said that the people will benefit and get goodness from Allah.

“Therefore, let us think positively, good, seriously and sincerely in carrying out duties and responsibilities to our families, religion and country.

“I hope that we will also fulfil the trust placed upon us the best way possible,” he said in front of about 1,000 attendees during the Iftar with the people and the inaugurating of the Teras Jernang Mosque yesterday.

Also accompanying the Sultan was the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and the Director of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), Ahmad Zaharin Mohd Saad.

In addition, he also delivered greeting for the Aidilfitri celebrations for year 1435 hijrah to all the people.

“Hopefully, my people will be able to celebrate it in safety and prosperity. I also hope that the people are always careful and cautious when driving,” the Sultan said.
