“This time, I no longer want the people to live in low-cost houses like pigeons.

“The people want a home that is comfortable for their families with at least three bedrooms for their family.

“An area that is wide enough with good facilities and therefore, the state government will take the stand to launch affordable housing on a large scale starting 2015,” said Mohamed Azmin today.

He said this in front of about 200 Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) staff at the Chief Minister’s Fieldwork Programme at the MBPJ Auditorium today.

Although the state government is focusing on developing the state’s economy, the income gap among the people will be taken into consideration.

Among the moves taken would be to continue welfare assistance to the people in need.

Mohamed Azmin also reminded the Federal Government to respect the federalism spirit by cooperating with the state government in the interest of the people of this state.

He explained that this is also because Selangor is the largest contributor of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to the Federal Government; 25 percent.
