SHAH ALAM, 25 Nov: The state government is targeting for over 35,000 affordable housing units (Selangorku Homes) to be built in the next 5 years.

The Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Life, Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that so far, 5473 Selangorku Homes have been and will be built by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB).

Apart from that, the state government has also approved the construction of 9786 Selangorku Homes to be built by private developers under the Selangorku Hoes Policy.

“RMM has detailed 15,259 units in its development so far.

“The state government is still accepting applications for the construction of RMM from developers,” he said, answering an oral question by the Assemblyman for Rawang, Gan Pei Nei.

He said that the commitment is in line with the urgent needs of the people to own their own homes at affordable prices.

For the record, the state government has set the selling price control of Selangorku Homes between RM42,000 up to RM250,000 per unit.
