He said that public service should develop an environment based on innovation and foster creative and innovative ideas to enhance a more competitive service delivery.

“It is to ensure that the government’s service delivery remains relevant and thus develop a state and country that are viable,” he said when speaking at the Selangor Government Administration Innovation Day 2014 celebration today.

Mohamed Azmin said in the effort to make the State Development agenda perfect, the aspect of innovation should be based on concern about solving the people’s problems.

He said that it can be done by setting out a plan that is comprehensive, more organised structure and meeting the requirements and expectations of the people.

“The overwhelming goodness from the state government’s policies should be enjoyed up to the grassroots.

“The sophistication and power of this information technology, as well as budding creative and innovative ideas should be focused on relationships and moving the people’s social mobility,” he said.

He said the gap between villages and cities should be bridged to enable the people from various backgrounds to come out of hardship and enjoy a comfortable life.

“This new administration assures the entire government machinery to be pooled and directed towards efforts that improve the living standards of the people,” he said.
