KOTA BHARU, 22 Feb: The Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, visited the grave of the former Chief Minister of Kelantan, the late Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, at Pulau Melaka today.
Sinar Harian reported that he arrived at 6.15 pm in white and spent almost 15 minutes reading the Surah Yasin and prayed.
Also present were Kelantan Mufti, Datuk Mohamad Syukri Mohamad, and the Kelantan Chief of Police, Datuk Mazlan Lazim.
In the meantime, Nik Aziz’s son, Nik Omar Nik Abdul Aziz, representing the family said that the Sultan conveyed his condolences to his mother, Datin Tuan Sabarian Tuan Ishak, and the whole family.
He thanked the Sultan who was willing to spend time visiting his father’s grave.
