Two SRJK (C) receive RM60,000 grant

SUBANG JAYA, 7 Oct: Two Chinese Vernacular National Primary Schools (SRJK (C)) in USJ near here received a grant of RM60,000 from the Selangor Government for infrastructural purposes.

The Subang Jaya Assemblyman, Hannah Yeoh, said that RM50,000 was awarded by the state government to SRJK (C) Chee Wan in USJ 1.

Meanwhile, RM10,000 was given to SRJK (C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock in USJ 15 from the Subang Jaya State Legislative Assembly provisions.

“Although SRJK (C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock is part of the Vision School action plan, they received very little assistance from the Ministry of Education.

“The school also has to share the same cafeteria and hall with two other schools, but are separately running administration,” she said via Facebook.

Hannah said that the Selangor government is always allocating financial assistance to all schools in the state despite the schools being under the jurisdiction of the federal government.

“The federal government must ensure that the Ministry of Education has adequate annual funding for school maintenance,” he said.
