Respect the Sultan, PKR & DAP Exco continue their duties under Abdul Khalid

SHAH ALAM, 12 Aug: All Executive Councillors from PKR and DAP are asked to respect the Sultan of Selangor’s consent for Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to continue as the Chief Minister of Selangor.

In a joint statement with the six Exco from PKR and DAP, they said that PKR and DAP will use methods that conform to the State Constitution and enactments regarding the Chief Minister issue.

“To respect the demands of the people and the Sultan of Selangor’s consent, we will continue our daily duties,” they said.

They said that business involving Exco members from PKR and DAP are according to the mandate set by the party.

“We will not meet with Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim (except during the weekly State Executive Council meetings) to avoid any discussion about the position of the respective parties.

“We will continue to carry out our duties in accordance with the mandate given to Pakatan Rakyat while the matter is resolved amicably,” they said.
