SUBANG JAYA, 6 FEB: A portion of citizens in Subang Jaya have been enjoying free wifi service since last December which was provided for them under the provisions of the Selangorku Grant.
Taking into consideration the factors of population density and the residents’ moderate income, residents of SS19 Low Cost Flats here are give the chance to utilise the service.
“It is also a facility for children and teachers of a kindergarten located in this residential area.
“With this wifi service, the response from residents, especially from teenagers have been so encouraging and this is a good response,” said Khai Kien, an officer at the Subang Jaya constituency Service Centre.
Meanwhile, Subang Jaya assemblyman, Hannah Yeoh hopes that material and moral contributions can be given to the kindergarten in efforts to create internet savvy children.
“We welcome any party to contribute computers or to provide computer classes to kindergarten children.
“This will then ensure that the service given by the State Government will benefit the people from an early age,” said Hannah.
For anyone interested in contributing can contact the Subang Jaya DUN (constituency) Office.
The free wifi services uses the Unifi line with the Biz package at a speed of 5 MBPS and a monthly subscription of RM119.
