CM: State Government Ready To Dissolve State Legislative Assembly At The End Of March

SHAH ALAM, 11 MAR: The State Government is ready to dissolve the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) by the end of this month to get a fresh mandate from the people of Selangor.

Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the State Government is prepared for the purpose and a decision has been reached to dissolve the DNS.

“It has been decided but it has yet to be announced,” he said at a press conference after the Selangor Government Departments Monthly Assembly here today.

He said that if there is no objection, the dissolve will probably take place at the end of March.

Prior to this, the Chief Minister stated that the State Government plans to dissolve the DNS after the Chap Goh Meh celebrations.

The end of February, Abdul Khalid also confirmed that the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah consented to the decision and does not object to the dissolve of the DNS.
