Rodziah: Najib Threatens to Neglect Selangor

SHAH ALAM, 25 Apr: State Government Executive Councillor, Rodziah Ismail slammed campaigns with elements of threat as done by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak two days ago.

During the campaign held at Section 18, the Prime Minister allegedly said that all facilities and infrastructure in this state will be refurbished if BN is given the mandate to administer Selangor on 5 May.

“These infrastructures, by right, should already be under the Central Government, so if the PM is truly responsible, this should not be made an issue or part of campaign materials.

“Instead, he (PM) betrayed this trust and no longer channelled the people’s money to the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat Government since five years ago through the ICU (Implementation Coordination Unit).

“And now he says this. It is not impossible that it will continue if Pakatan (Rakyat) does not takeover Putrajaya, as experienced by Kelantan for 20 years, and this will adversely affect the people,” remarked the PKR candidate for the Batu Tiga State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

Looking back on Pakatan Rakyat’s experience of navigating the administration of the State Government since 2008, Rodziah said that the Central Government under Umno-BN failed to provide good cooperation.

“Even when they wanted to develop, it is not through a discussion process with the State Government on what needs to be prefaced or implemented.

“I also regret that some things promised were not implemented because of their own non-transparent practices,” he added.

Due to the neglect from the Central Government, the State Government took their own initiative in channelling extra funds to repair roads.

They were also forced to use state funds to build the third bridge in Klang when the project was actually the responsibility of the Federal Government.

Hence, Rodziah urged Najib to stop the play of words to fish for votes, moreover to bring victory to extremist and racist individuals such as Datuk Zulkifli Nordin, to become representatives of the people.

“As a Prime Minister, he should be wise about his duties as the number one leader in the country and know how to keep the people’s trust funds fairly.

“Not merely providing lip service, as though the people easily forget what was promised or said,” he stressed.
