Abdul Khalid Sworn In as Chief Minister of Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 May: Today, at the Alam Shah Palace in Klang, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim finished being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Selangor for a second term in front of DYMM the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Citing a statement on his Twitter page, he expressed his gratitude and thanked everyone for their support.

“The people’s proposal is well received and I will double my efforts,” he said.

Abdul Khalid was first sworn in as Chief Minister on 13 March 2008, four days after the 12th General Election while the Selangor State Government Executive Councillors were sworn in on 23 March, 10 days later.

Yesterday, when Abdul Khalid was met after facing the Selangor Sultan at the Bukit Kayangan Palace in Shah Alam said that the new Selangor State Government Executive Council will be sworn in the latest in two weeks.
