SEMENTA, 20 may: The infrastructural development in Sementa will be taken seriously with several proposals being submitted to the State Government for consideration.

According to the Sementa Assemblywoman, Dr Daroyah Alwi, this aspect will be focused on to develop the area.

“I would also like to see that Semanta will have a beautiful landscape in five years. Previously, I was a Council Member for MBSA (Shah Alam City Council) and I was on the Landscape council. I feel that I have the experience on how to develop and improve (Semanta) in terms of landscaping,” she said while explaining that two branches of complaint centres will be opened in Sementa to facilitate the public in receiving her services.

In addition the construction of religious schools, mosques, roads, drains and so on will be carried out to meet the needs of the people.

“In the interest of children, hopefully a religious secondary school will be built in Sementa,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Chairman of Kampung Sementa, Mat Ellah Mat Nor said that the success of Pakatan Rakyat in capturing Semanta from Umno-BN will bring about major changes to the area.

“Hopefully, many more changes will happen in Kampung Sementa itself where the mosque and the old religious school has to be rebuilt,” she said.

Kampung Sungai Serdang JKKK Chairman, Hassan Basir also hopes that several basic problems in the village will receive attention so that it can be resolved soon.

“All these while, many developments in Sementa were delayed because of the problem of (Umno-BN) people’s representatives often change service centres.

“In kampung Sungai Serdang, problems such as religious schools, mosques, and so on, I hope will be monitored. The dam problem (also) needs to be fixed immediately so that it does not break from holding water,” he said.

Dr. Daroyah said that she will enhance cooperation with the Local Authorities (PBT) to address arising problems such as waste management.
