KUALA LUMPUR, 14 May: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) is ready to face the Chairman of the Election Commission (EC), Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof to submit allegations of misconduct in the recent 13th General Election (GE-13).

PKR Secretary General, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that Pakatan has no problem in accepting the challenge of Umno Information Chief, Datuk Ahmad Maslan, who wants Pakatan to face Abdul Aziz.

Saiduddin added that if Abdul Aziz refuses to meet Pakatan, he hopes that Ahmad can help Pakatan get a meeting with the EC Chairman.

“The PR Secretariat Council has agreed to invite Tan Sri Aziz in the near future to face PR for us to bring up, one-by-one, the issues related to election misconduct.

“If Tan Sri Aziz refuses to accept our invitation, I believe Datuk Ahmad Maslan will help us in the effort to meet with us,” he said in a press conference today.

He believes that Abdul Aziz would not mind to meet with Pakatan Rakyat seeing that the GE-13 just took place a week ago.

The three parties in Pakatan Rakyat are gathering evidence of misconduct in relation to the election. PKR led by Rafizi Ramli, DAP by Ong Kian Ming and PAS by lawyer Asmuni Awi.

Pakatan will focus on about 27 Parliamentary seats which they claim electoral fraud took place.
