Students Invited to Join KEIP to Strengthen Political Knowledge

PETALING JAYA, June 4: PKR invites Malaysian students to apply to participate in the Keadilan Executive Internship Program (KEIP) which will be held for five weeks.

The programme which will begin on June 26 to 2 August contains six modules related to politics.

PKR Vice-President, Nurul Izzah Anwar said that the KEIP will use modules used by world leading political parties such as the Democratic Party which provides a structured programme.

She said that the modules are meant for training and exposing participants on the knowledge and experience of politics, policy development, leadership, media ethics and so on.

“It is dedicated to Malaysian students from around the world, from any educational background, who are interested in politics and want to know the ins and outs of party administration and elected representatives.

“At the end of the program, each group of trainees will work on a project that covers politics, economy and social aspects that has an impact on national politics, including the organisation of a political programme and policy development for PKR,” she said in a press conference at the PKR headquarters here.

Among the contents of the module are; Election Campaigns, Parliamentary Sessions, Policy Research and Development, Student Activism, Grassroots Politics and Media Management.

Trainees who join the KEIP will be paid a training allowance each month.
