Oil Prices have Risen, Umno-BN Admits Economy has Slowed Down

SHAH ALAM, SEPT 7: The Umno-BN Central Government finally has to admit that the economy has slowed down so much so that they had to raise prices of petrol and diesel with the excuse of saving the country.

Batu Member of Parliament, Tian Chua described the move as draconian because Umno-BN is willing to burden the people and refuses to save the economy through actions of eradicating leakages, reducing extravagant spending and curbing embezzlement.

“We have repeatedly said that there is a problem in this country, but Umno-BN denied it by saying that there is still a lot of money and Malaysia’s economy is the best in the world.

“It looks like throughout his administration, Najib has not done anything to save the country, but has more severely burdened the people.

“He should take full responsibility for this failure,” he said when contacted by TVSelangor.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minster, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the increase in oil prices is not burden the people, but instead is to save the country’s economy.

Meanwhile, commenting on the proposed fuel allowance cuts for ministers, deputy ministers and government officers in effort to reduce the country’s deficit, Tian Chua said that it is a political gimmick by Umno-BN to confuse the people.

“It is just a gimmick, it will not be done by Umno-BN leaders because it brings no benefit in solving problems,” he said.
