Anti-TPPA Stage: Anwar Agrees to Attend, Tun M Still Unsure

SHAH ALAM, 4 Oct: Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has agreed to go up on the Premier Anti-TPPA Stage which will take place on the evening of 10 October 2013 at the Kg Bary Sultan Sulaiman Club.

The founder of Youth Solidarity Malaysia (SAMM), Badrul Hisham Shaharin said that two prominent figures, Anwar and Tun Mahathir, have been invited due to their extensive experience in the field of international trade economy.

“It is an important space and opportunity for Anwar and Tun Mahathir to clarify any questions, especially about the TPPA agreement which has many hidden agendas.

“Anwar has expressed his willingness, while Tun Mahathir who firmly opposes the TPPA agreement has yet to give a positive answer,” he said in a statement.

According to Badrul Hisham, they are still waiting for a reply from Tun Mahathir and are optimistic that Tun Mahathir will consider appearing on the premier stage.

“Anwar proves that all past disputes are being set aside to ensure the nation will not be sold through the TPPA agreement scheme,” he said.
