CM: Development Projects in Selangor Implemented Carefully

SHAH ALAM, 18 Dec: Every development project in Selangor will be carried out carefully and in an orderly fashion to ensure that it meets standards set.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said that the implementation period of a project, whether fast or slow, is a normal matter which is not to be worried about.

He said that the State Government does not have any problem to complete development projects in Selangor, when about 10 of 1,500 construction projects have reportedly suffered delays so far.

“The State Government only experiences big problems when it first took over the administration of the state in 2008, when reportedly 114 projects were abandoned.

“We must let the local authorities carry out their duties well because we do not want it be bring about a negative impact on buyers who are disappointed if they do not get the best construction,” he said.

Abdul Khalid said this in response to the statement by the Member of Parliament for Shah Alam, Khalid Samad, who previously criticised that there were project delays in Selangor that needed to be overcome with cooperation from all parties.
