CM: INPENS College Graduates Should Contribute Ideas for Institution’s Success

SHAH ALAM, 3 Dec: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that former students of IPENS College should continue to help contribute ideas and introduce the college to the working industry by offering graduates that are competent and able to produce quality work.

He said that it is hoped that every staff can channel ideas and energy to continue the state government and college’s fight to uplift the name of the institution and put it at par with the requirements of the country’s education philosophy.

“We are aware that the role of colleges is huge in skills education institutions, especially in efforts to produces skilled youths who are highly skilled.

“Therefore, the state government will not be left out in giving self and career enhancement courses to students so that they can discipline themselves when faced with the real working world,” he said at the Appreciation and Thanksgiving Ceremony in conjunction with the 20-year anniversary of the INPENS College yesterday.

Also present was the former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Muhammad Taib, the President of INPENS, Datuk Md Mydin Md Sheriff and Members of the Board of Directors of INPENS.

Abdul Khalid said that development and success achieved in the college is very clear and can be seen from various aspects in the 20 years of its establishment.

“These successes includes infrastructural and skills development, as well as the production of quality students,” he said.

He said that the state government will help continue upgrading education from time to time in line with the target to produce intellectual and highly skilled youths.

“The State Government allocated RM30 million for the development of education and research as well as the development of youth in this state in the Budget 2014,” he said.

6.3

In relation to that, Abdul Khalid hopes that more agencies, companies or industry representatives will work with INPENS College in terms of producing new ideas and sharing of skills that are internationally ranked.

“This relationship is actually for the benefit of all, involving companies and industry representatives that will produce skilled and high quality workers, thereby increasing the productivity of their organisation,” he said.
