EC has a hidden agenda, refuses to acknowledge Form 14 of the Teluk Intan by-election

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May: The Election Commission (EC) is seen to have another agenda behind the refusal to acknowledge Form 14 (statement of balloting after vote count) at the Teluk Intan Parliamentary by-election.

The candidate agent to Dyana Sofya, Howard Lee Chuan How, was quoted saying that this was informed by the EC in a briefing yesterday to candidates’ agents, saying that they do not want to validate Form 14.

The Assemblyman of Pasir Pinji said that this move is rather unwarranted because Form 14 is important to fill in the results of the by-election after the ballot counting is done for each vote.

“Form 14 is the statement of balloting after vote count. After counting, the number of votes must be recorded in it. For example, if DAP received 200 votes and BN receives 100 votes, it must be recorded, then the agent will receive a copy.

“So, if the candidates’ agent form is not validated, doubts will arise regarding the results of the tally,” he said, quoted from Roketkini.

Chuan How said the EC also informed that every official result is based on the copy in their hands.

“The EC official also told me that if there are doubts, file a petition. Why do they not want to acknowledge Form 14? Do they have another agenda,” he asked.
