Perkasa wants to ‘behead’, what is the police waiting for?

SHAH ALAM, 26 June: The police should immediately investigate and prosecute the Negeri Sembilan Perkasa (Malay supremacy group) Chief, Ruslan Kasim, who issued a statement of wanting to ‘behead’ because it is clearly against the law.

The Assemblyman for Seri Setia, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said that he wants Ruslan to be charged under Section 503 of the Penal Code and not under the Sedition Act or to wait for a harmony Bill to be tabled.

Nik Nazmi said that Malaysia will never be a peaceful and prosperous country if individuals like Ruslan and organisations like Perkasa are allowed to make such threats.

“The fact is that by acting rowdy, they do not support in upholding Malays, Islam and the Malay Rulers.

“If the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, and the government are serious in defending the rule of law, they should take immediate action against Ruslan and Perkasa,” he told the media after lodging a police report at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters.

It is understood that Ruslan denied the meaning of ‘beheading’ is the act of chopping of heads and instead, was referring to ‘chopping off the political future’ of four PAS Members of Parliament.

Nik Nazmi, however, rejected the statement and said that Ruslan is trying to ‘play with the meaning’ of the word.
