“It is also to monitor the provisions spent to reduce the risk of leakages and to ensure that the assistance provided has been received by recipients who truly deserve it,” he said.

Abdul Khalid said this at a press conference after chairing the Executive Council meeting at the State Government Secretary’s (SUK) Building today.

In relation to that, Abdul Khalid urged all Assemblymen, DUN Coordinator Officers and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Members of Parliament who have received provisions for MES welfare programmes to fully cooperate to facilitate the audit.

“The results of the audit report will be submitted to the Selangor State Integrity Action Council to summarise and to fix any weaknesses to further improve the effectiveness of these welfare programmes,” he added.
