US supports Israeli brutality, Malaysia should boycott TPPA

PETALING JAYA, 14 July: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) urged the Federal Government to immediately cease all discussions on the issue of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) and to not sign the agreement in protest of the US supporting Israeli brutality.

The PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali, said that Israeli brutality is happening with the support of the United States.

He said in connection with the development, PR is also demanding for a special parliamentary session.

“PR demands for a special parliamentary session to discuss the issue of the attacks on Palestine, like what was done in January 2009, to hear the people’s voice on the issue,” he said in a press conference.

He added that the Malaysian Government should also recall the Malaysian Ambassador to the United States as the most obvious sign of protest on the issue.

Israel’s attacks on Palestine, which began early in the Ramadan month, has so far resulted in the killing of over 150 Palestinians, including civilians and children.
