KUALA LUMPUR, 10 Oct: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the Budget 2015 which was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak failed to serve in increasing the country’s economy.

Mohamed Azmin said that the central government also did not provide a clear focus on addressing economic activity that is inconsistent and wasteful.

“I see that this budget does not provide a clear focus on how to address the issue of wasteful government projects.

“It does not boost the people’s economy as it should,” said the Member of Parliament for Gombak to reporters after the presentation of the budget in Parliament.

The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) alternative budget appears to be more pro-people compared to the Budget 2015 themed Pro Rakyat Barisan Nasional (BN).

The PR budget presented by the PR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, yesterday focused on interests and welfare, while taking into account the increasing cost of living.

Among them, PR chose to implement a capital gains tax and inheritance tax to be imposed on the rich without affecting those with low incomes.
