DNS: The people are satisfied, hope for future improvements

SHAH ALAM, 8 Dec: The people are satisfied with the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) session which was held life with great openness for public scrutiny.

The DNS session was broadcast live via http://tv.selangorku.com/ at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building from November 24 to December 4.

Businessman Zulkifli Hussin, 40, from Hulu Langat said that the reform practiced is good in providing opportunities for the people to keep abreast with current developments and all on-goings and plans made by the state government for the good of all.

“We live in a modern world with various facilities including the internet and news portals, as well as social media sites.

“I found out about the DNS session also through the Facebook social media site and the state government media, Selangor Kini,” he said.

Haron Abdul Ghani, 59, from Kampung Sungai Tegar, Sabak Bernam, said that the DNS session is now better when the people have the opportunity to follow it directly and see representatives, whether from the government or the opposition, carry out their duties.

“The DNS session this time was awaited by the people because the state government is presenting the budget for next year. We are fortunate to be able to obtain information easily through various media channels, especially from the internet, and also also the state government media.

“The government’s openness and transparency is good, and such reforms are what the people desire because the people today are knowledgeable and many are highly educated,” he said.

Nordin Shaari Mohd Razali, 49, from Klang said that the openness of the state government, including giving space to the opposition to gain publicity through Selangor Kini is very good and commendable.

“We should praise such efforts and it should be emulated by other parties. The appointment of the (Selangor) Opposition Leader as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is also good and the DNS has made history with this.

“The DNS session has changed a lot through administrative changes by the state government. The people want improvement like this in the administration for the sake of development for the state and the people.

“The debate conducted has also improved among representatives from the government and the opposition,” he said.
