Rafizi defends Rosmah’s ‘expensive ring’ speech in court

SHAH ALAM, 9 Dec: The PKR Secretary general, Rafizi Ramli, is maintaining his speech on the ‘expensive ring’ belonging to Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor later in court.

He said that the answer to the summons by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, and his wife was sent through his lawyer, N Surendran, and Messrs Daim Gamany.

“My speech was indeed public interest because it is purported by national policies.

“It is based on Najib’s action of eliminating the subsidies when wastage continues to happen. And yes, I will defend that speech later in court,” explained Rafizi who is also the Pandan Member of Parliament in a statement today.

On December 4, Najib and Rosmah sent a legal letter suing Rafizi for his statement on Rosmah’s ‘expensive ring’ during a programme in Kuala Lumpur which was broadcast on YouTube.
