SHAH ALAM, 7 Jan: Selangor has requested for the State Government Secretary, Datuk Khusrin Munawi, to review the matters relating to the dismissal of almost 30 employees of PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd (PHSB).
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that he will not act irresponsibly regarding this matter.
Mohamed Azmin said that he will also ensure that the PKNS staff involved will obtain justice.
“I am one of the victims. So, it is not true if you say I am being irresponsible. Indeed, I am giving attention and I have asked the (State) Secretary to look into this matter on whether the termination was following existing laws.
“Otherwise, the need to provide justice to the officers involved should be given,” he said during the Kelantan Flood Disaster Cleaning Assistance Mission at Dataran SUK today.
Last February 4, the media reported that 23 contractual staff of PKNS received the 24-hour notice of dismissal, with immediate effect.
One of the staff said that they received the notice of dismissal without reasonable grounds, at about 8 in the morning the same day.
