SHAH ALAM, 1 Mar: A total of 130 abandoned projects have been listed in the state of Selangor, according to the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS).

Based on checks by Selangor Kini at the official LPHS website that was updated on November 5, 2014, it was found that the number recorded was according to the 11 local authorities in Selangor.

The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) registered the highest number of abandoned projects with 31 projects, followed by 15 projects for the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) and the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) with 14 projects.

Meanwhile, the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), the Speang Municipal Council (MPSepang), the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) each recorded 10 cases of abandoned projects and below.

For cases where developers have wound up, 22 developers are facing this problem while the Kajang Municipal Council recorded the highest number with six companies.

This is followed by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council with four companies and the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council with three companies.
