CM: Malaysian style democracy, even asking is wrong

PETALING JAYA, 22 May: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, agreed with the demands of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to record his statement regarding the allegation that he called the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, a ‘lackey’

He said that his readiness is based on his confidence that he did not commit any offence and instead posed a question.

“It is up to PDRM, I am not labeling, just throwing a question at Khalid.

“This is Malaysian style democracy, even asking is wrong. Whatever, i will continue to fight,” he said when met by Selangor Kini after the Excellent Service Award 2014 ceremony at the Petaling Jaya City Council last night.

Mohamed Azmin said this when asked to comment on the statement by the Penang Police Chief, Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi, who intends to record his statement regarding his talk during the Permatang Pauh by-election campaign recently.

Abdul Rahim Hanafi reportedly said that the case investigation papers will be completed in the near future after recording the statement by the PKR Deputy President.

Mohamed Azmin previously was given a week starting May 7 to submit an apology and the police will open investigation papers and further action will be taken if he fails to do so.
