Iskandar: No Pakatan problem in Selangor, smooth administration

KUALA SELANGOR, 6 June: The Selangor PAS Commissioner, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, guaranteed that PAS will continue to hold the trust of the people to carry out responsibilities with allies from PKR and DAP.

He said that current developments in Penang asking PAS members to let go of their positions cannot be attributed in Selangor.

“In Selangor, we do not have problems with other Pakatan allies and our administration will continue as normal.

“We will continue working as it is a responsibility to the people who have elected us (PAS) in Pakatan Rakyat.

“If we let this issue affect us, then we would have betrayed the trust of the people,” he told reporters after the close of the 61st PAS Annual Congress today.

He said that the motion to sever ties with DAP by the Ulama Council only received approval after it is taken to the Syura Council.

“Like I said, the motion was brought to be discussed at the next level, so it does not mean that the proposal is accepted. Because there are also proposals that cannot be implemented.

“It means that it was approved to be discussed,” said the Selangor Exco.

Prior to this, the former PAS Deputy President, Mohamad Sabu, wished to relinquish all his positions in the Penang government this week.
