Perangsang Selangor CSR internationally recognised

SHAH ALAM, 30 June: The effectiveness of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad’s (Perangsang Selangor) Corporate Social Responsibility has been internationally recognised when they received the Asia Best Social Empowerment award.

The recognition of the company listed on the Bursa Malaysia was received during the Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards 2015 that was organised in conjunction with the SCR International Summit 2015 in Macau on June 19 after being selected in the final round of assessment.

Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards is an award to recognise corporate bodies that fight for CSR efforts in maintaining the social welfare of the local community.

The organisers of the summit received entries from 300 corporate companies from 31 Asian nations.

“Perangsang Selangor implemented CSR through the Selangor Entrepreneur Development Programme (PPUS) under the provisions of funds amounting to RM1.2 million.

“So far, 350 entrepreneurs, including the Klang Valley and the whole of Selangor, managed to start businesses under the stimulus programme,” Perangsang Selangor said in a press statement.

The award is being received by Perangsang Selangor for the second time after winning for the same category in 2013 at the South-East Asian level.
