SHAH ALAM, 14 SEP: The State Government, along with the Disaster Unit, the Social Welfare Department, and the fire department, handed over contributions to the fire victims in Pulau Ketam.

The contributions were handed over to the victims by the Exco for Health, Welfare, Woman and Family Affairs, Dr Daroyah Alwi, along with Selat Klang assemblyman, Dr Halimah Ali.

Three houses were burned down last Saturday, forcing the victims to stay with their relatives.

Besides financial contributions, contributions in kind were also given, such as kitchen utensils, mats, pillows, and other items.

The State Goverment also provided special masks to the volunteer firefighters for their use.

Face masks were also distributed to the residents in preparation for the haze and uncertain weather conditions.
