Hulu Klang Assemblyman, Saari Sungib, said that the special committee will present the report and motion to be debated at the Selangor State Assembly (DNS).

“This shows how serious the state government is in eradicating poverty in Selangor and the people should support this,” said Saari when acting as the state government representative at the DNS session for the Young Assemblymen at the Annex Building recently.

The special committee chaired by Saari also comprises of several assemblymen and senior government officials.

Meanwhile, the DNS Deputy Speaker, Mohd Shafie Ngah, when commenting on the same issue, said that previously some developed countries also established similar committees.

“We are studying a similar model from the United Kingdom, Canada, and several other countries to be applied in Selangor,” he said.
