Deepavali’s Jom Shopping for welfare of Indian community

BATU CAVES, OCT 12: A total of 400 recipients of Program Bantuan Rakyat Miskin received Jom Shopping vouchers with a value of RM100 in conjunction with Deepavali.

Gombak Setia Assemblyman Hasbullah Mohd Ridzwan said that the programme is one of the State Government’s efforts to take care of citizens’ welfare by providing assistance during festive seasons.

The aid is also a sign of gratitude from the State Government for the continued trust and support given by the rakyat in the last election.

This programme provides an opportunity for the ‘wakil rakyat’ to meet their voters personally, especially from the Indian community.

The programme, which was held at Giant in Batu Caves, is able to reduce consumers’ burdens in their Deepavali preparations.

Most recipients reacted cheerfully and were happily shopping with their families using the vouchers given.

Hasbullah hopes the Indian community will continue to support the State Government’s efforts to continue helping the rakyat regardless of political and racial considerations.
