MPK seized motorcycles for parking in OKU lots

BY NORHAYATI UMOR

KLANG, JUL 5: Two motorcycles were seized by the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) for parking in lots assigned for persons-with-disability (OKU).

Its Yang Dipertua, Dato’ Mohamad Yasid Bidin said, the action was taken at 2.25 afternoon after receiving complaints from the public.

He said, MPK will not compromise with people who do not follow rules.

“After checking, MPK found that the two motorcycles were still in the OKU lots as informed by complainants.

“MPK seized the motorcycles and brought them to the MPK tow depot,” he said.

At the same time, Yasid said MPK will intensify its monitoring activities at supermarkets, offices and commercial buildings for any parking lot abuse.

“MKP will fine, clamp or seize vehicles that are parked at unauthorised lots,” he said.
