SHAH ALAM, AUG 29: The public stands a chance to win a total of RM10,400 cash through the Love Shah Alam Themed Photography Contest.
The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Head of Corporate and Public Relations, Shahrin Ahmad said, participation is free and open to all Malaysians aged 18 and above.
He said, participants can take photos of attractive spots around Shah Alam such as tourist locations, buildings, monuments, lakes, gardens or landscapes.
“This is to provide a platform and opportunity to the public to highlight their talents besides encouraging the community to appreciate the city through the lens of photography.
“Hopefully people will know Shah Alam better, with its beautiful buildings, green landscape and multiracial communities who live peacefully and harmoniously,” he said in a statement.
Shahrin said the winner will be evaluated based on several aspects according to the theme, originality, creativity and the best photography technique application.
“The photos should be taken within MBSA’s jurisdiction,” he said.
The contest started last August 16 and is still open for participation until November 16, 2017.
Besides certificate of participation, the first winner will win a cash prize of RM5,000, second place (RM3,000) and third place (RM1,000).
Seven winners will also receive RM200 each as consolation prize.
